Jesus and the Ten Commandments

THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTRY.

You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

You have heard, it was said by them of old time, You shall not commit adultery; but I say unto you, Whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

It has been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife let him give her a writing of divorcement; … whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery. And whosoever puts away his wife and marries another, commits adultery. And whosoever shall marry her that is put away from her husband commits adultery.

Those things that proceed out of the mouth of man come forth from the heart, they show that a man is defiled. For from within, out of the heart of men proceed …, adulteries,….

Adultery is forgivable, but if repentance has occurred the act will not be repeated.

Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and marries another, commits adultery. And he who marries her which is put away commits adultery. … Whosoever shall put away his wife and marry another, commits adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband and be married to another, she commits adultery. …

The person who commits adultery does not love the Heavenly Father, His Son or the other persons involved.
