OBEDIENT: attentive, listening, to heed, hearken to a command. Conform to authority.
From the creation account in Genessis to the end of the book of Revelation; our Heavenly Father provided blessings for mankind and expected us to live in thankful admiration of His benevolence and mercy.
We who claim to know and love His only begotten Son should be the most grateful of all people. We who say we are His followers bring shame upon ourselves by deciding to ignore or control many of His gifts, and scorning rules that explain the proper use of the gifts.
The texts selected for this study illustrate the unity of the authors. John, Peter, Paul and the writer of Hebrews agree perfectly with Jesus when He said:
"He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me".
